Verdikoussa is a village of approximately 3000 permanent inhabitants. It is built on the east side of Hassia and is at a distance of 65km from Larissa. Its altitude is about 850m (the square of the village), whereas the climate is mostly dry, thus, offering a healthy environment to be and live in. The village is surrounded by a unique beech forest, through which you can reach “Mamalis peak” (1424m) and enjoy rare, breathtaking views.

 

Our school was founded and started working as a Junior High School of Verdikoussa in 1977-1978 while the Senior High School in 1983-1984. In 1995, both Junior and Senior High Schools were transferred to a new building, situated on the highest point of the village (970m).
